Puff Stitch (puff)
puff stitch is called the same thing in US and UK patterns, and chuu-naga-ami tama-ami in Japanese ones. Written as puff in patterns.
Built from repeated yarn over and pull-up-a-loop actions in the same stitch, all cleared at once. Softer and rounder than a bobble.
The Japanese name 中長編み玉編み (chuu-naga-ami tama-ami) literally means "half-treble ball knitting".

Watch out for
Puff stitches are tension sensitive. Pull each loop up to the same height or the puff sits lopsided.
